It was snow for a few days last weekend. Many people had auto accidents due to ice roads. It was 5 degrees yesterday(December 8). WOW... BRRRRR! We are doing fine so far. Roger went out to shoot the pictures of snow.
We went to Hogle Zoo near University of Utah campus or This is Right Place Park. We enjoyed seeing beautiful animals from Bat to Zebra. We also saw beautiful colors leaves too. WOW! We love the colors. They are very beautiful color leaves. It was beautiful day with 75 degrees. Many many hundreds of students and teachers went there. WOW What a crowd! We had blast time.
We and our two deaf friends went to Fort Bridger State Historic Site and Museum Festival Last Friday all afternoon and evening. It was very interested to see the festival. Many people wore milita clothes, old-fashioned clothing, mountain man (SAME AS DAVY CROCKET) clothing, Indian clothing, and many more. We enjoyed visiting the different booths like fur, knives, clothing, tools. They made same as 1800's. Very interesting. We really enjoyed the festival very much. The food was great. We also visited museum, too. We had great time.
We went to Pioneer Memorial Museum. The museum is very good. Many pioneers gave their things to museum from fire-truck to carriage to sewing machines to furnitures, clothes, guns, coins, hundreds and hundreds of photos and many more. The museum is six floors. WOW!!!!!! It was great museum to see.
We set up our tent at Zion Peak park near Oakley, Utah.
We cooked spaghetti and ate them. We played horseshoe tourney. We played games.
We met new and old friends at camp site. We cooked breakfast. We cooked bacon and sausage and french toasts.
We sat near the fireside and drank hot chocolate. We saw Prairie Dogs and Deers. We saw beautiful Weber river.
We hiked for a mile or so. We sat and chatted with the people. We sat by the fire.
Many of us were frozen because of cold weather. It was 32 degrees. We took group pictures. We listened deaf jokes. We cooked sloppy joe. We had great time at DEAF LDS UTAH CAMPING. NEXT TIME we will bring winter coats next year.
